Research. Processes. Software.

External work starts with one clear question: what needs to be understood, improved or built, what evidence is available and how the result will be assessed.

Research comes first when the answer is not yet known. Process or software work follows when the problem and useful outcome are sufficiently defined.

Research

We identify change, test relationships and evaluate impact.

Typical deliverables may include an analysis, research report, validated or rejected hypothesis, indicator, structured data or validation conclusion.

Processes

We design and simplify decision-making or working processes so they are measurable and repeatable.

Typical deliverables may include workflow design, measurement points, decision rules, an automation specification or an implemented process.

Software

We build software and analytical tools around a clearly defined need and a validated way of working.

Typical deliverables may include a prototype, analytical tool, internal application, integration or scalable implementation.

A common foundation

Every engagement has a defined question or problem, scope, expected output and criteria by which its usefulness can be assessed. Where external or licensed data are involved, provenance, usage rights and delivery conditions are defined before work begins.
