Pilot
At the start, we define:
- one clear question or problem
- project scope
- available data
- a measurable or verifiable output
- success criteria and the conditions under which the pilot would not hold up
The purpose of the pilot is to answer the defined question, not to guarantee a continuation.
Validation
We assess data quality, the suitability of the methodology, limitations and practical usability. Every conclusion must be traceable: what it says, what it is based on and where it stops being valid.
A negative result is an acceptable pilot outcome. If the output does not meet the predefined criteria, we do not force a next phase.
Continue
If the pilot holds up, the next phase may, depending on the result, include:
- a one-off or ongoing research project
- regularly updated measurement or ongoing tracking
- process design or implementation
- automation
- a software or integration project
- a data or analytical output delivered through a technical interface
Price, scope, frequency, delivery format and usage rights are defined for each specific project.
Data and usage rights
For every external project, it must be clear in advance:
- where the data come from
- under which terms they may be used
- whether the right to use the data also includes the right to deliver or redistribute them to the client
- whether data can be delivered directly, aggregated, or used only to create a derived output
- which methodological changes or limitations may affect their interpretation
A published description of a particular type of data does not mean that Quantum Hive owns, or is entitled to redistribute, every dataset of that type.
Specific rights to use and deliver data are part of the project scope and contractual terms.
